Hi ,
Currently i am having 2 x 2Gb Corasir DDR3 1333 Ram , in dual channel mode.
Processor : Intel i7 2600
Mother Board : ASUS P8H67 EMVO supporting upto 32 GB Ram.
4 DIMM's available ( black(near to processor),blue,black,blue) ->currently blue slots are filled with 2GB Ram's

I am planning to have ASUS 6670 1GB DDDR 5 graphics card.
So thought of upgrading ram.Is it necessary to updgrade RAM for new Graphics card ? or existing 4Gb enough.

I want to upgrade the Ram .
So is it better to take
a.)2 x 4GB RAM and put it into remaining 2 black DIMM's .Link for the RAM below,Is there any better ram than corsair ?
http://
b.) single 8 GB Ram .and slot into any one black DIMM on Motherboard.

Solution
Upgrading your graphics card doesn't mean you need to upgrade your RAM, it is your call if you think you need more RAM for your usage : apps, games etc.
If you decide to upgrade your RAM, take the same sticks of RAM, by that I mean :

- 4 x 2 Gb : 8Gb quad channel
- 2 x 4 Gb : 8Gb dual channel
- 4 x 4 Gb : 16 Gb quad channel
etc.

Don't mix and match your RAM with 2 x 4 Gb stick and 1 x 8 Gb, won't give you good performances.

Your motherboard is dual channel (see http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8H67M_EVO/#specifications).
So if you want to upgrade, go for 2x 4Gb = 8Gb of RAM, or 2x 8Gb = 16Gb of RAM and replace your current RAM.
I would say this is the best option for optimal performances.

Thanks for the reply.
I want to use the existing 2 x 2Gb Ram and still want to upgrade using the remaining 2 slots with more ram. Then what would be the appropriate config for buying RAM.

Then buy the same 2x2Gb sticks that you currently have (exact same ones) and put them in the last remaining slots.
But since your motherboard is dual channel, these 4x2 Gb won't perform as good as Having 2x4 Gb sticks on your blue slots.

How about having extra 2x4 Gb Ram in the remaining black slots with the existing 2x2 Gb Ram already in blue slots. So totally 8 + 4 = 12 GB ram on system. Will it give an optimal performance.
So that 2x2 gb will be in dual channel mode and 2x4 Gb will be in channel dual mode ?

Yes it will work, you can check this thread also : http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/302922-30-dual-channel-work-slots

But if you take a faster memory for your black slots than the one you have currently, your computer will adjust to your slowest RAM available.
In this case, you won't fully use the speed of your new memory (if this one is faster).

I went through the thread. But frequency (1333 MHz ) of the memory card for the for black slots, will be same as for existing blue slots memory card (1333 MHz ) . Here only the capacity of RAM is changing not the frequency of the RAM.
