Windows 7 Boot Time

Good Day to all,

Is their any safe software / program that i can use to speed up my boot time? i am planning on buying a SSD but i dont have budget at the moment so could you help me.

done with msconfig and disabling unnecessary startup and services.

Also use piriform's DeFraggler to defrag your boot disk.

Take a look at your BIOS setting and see if you can shorten the "Press F8 or Delete" enter BIOS prompt that is sometimes set for 5 seconds. You might also find settings in the BIOS for fast boot.

Before buying an SSD, make sure your BIOS supports it. Some older ones do not, or limit the brand/model. Google is your friend here.

Worst case, you can reinstall your OS and be selective about which applications you load.

Also, consider putting your computer to sleep or hibernate instead of a full shutdown.

The time i posted this question is the time i just reformated my HDD and i think defragmenting it wont do any good i guess.. but thank you for the answer im still experiencing this long boot ups
