Sup everyone,
I finished building my own gaming PC and when I power it on, the DRAM_LED light to MemOk! stays red. I tried holding down the MemOk! button and letting it flash for 'automatic memory compatibility tuning' and it flashes but does nothing afterwards. My monitor is hooked up and it doesn't show any picture either. I've tried using just 1 stick of the 8gb memory instead of using both, but that doesn't help. Also tried placing it into a different ram slot and that doesn't help.
I have the Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 Mobo : http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A99FX_PRO_R20/#support
And the CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM Memory
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233365
I figure its either my motherboard doesn't support this memory (although it says it does, just doesn't show it in the mobo manual that it supports the corsair vengeance). Or that my memory came DOA. Looked on Mobo QVL again and...I was mistaken, that ram isn't listed. But, the 4x8gb(32gb) corsair vengeance is listed..
So...guess the ram i bought really can't be used on this mobo..
Any help would be appreciated.

System Specs:
AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz (CPU)
ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 (MOBO)
CORSAIR AX860 860W (PSU)
EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 770 2GB (GPU)
CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 (RAM)
(3) Cooler Master SickleFlow - 120 mm (Fans)
Cooler Master Elite 431 Plus (Chassis)
(2) Seagate SV35 Series 1TB (Internal Hard Drives)

1708. Getting 1 beep (VGA detected) and 3 short beeps. The MemOk! light is no longer lighting up red, so I'm guessing its not the RAM? Trying different slots atm but still no luck.

I’ve been having the exact same problem. It seems as if this board (M5A99FX PRO R2.0) was not really meant for 32 GBs of ram or just not from all brands. I recently changed boards from a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 to the ASUS one, with the rest of my hardware staying the same (That’s a AMD FX8550 8 Core 16MB, 32GBs of crucial DDR3 1600MHz, etc…). I kept having memory problems with the red light staying on and my pc freezing on me or blue screening at time, to make the long story short I took out half of the RAM and tried it with just 16GBs. After the first boot problem solved, which is ridiculous since now I have 16Gbs just sitting in drawer. Not sure if it’s of any help, but good luck!.
