Hi guys,

Question is the title really. Is my Corsair VX550W going to have enough grunt to power the Toxic 280x? I'm running a 3570K @ 4.4ghz, with a Corsair H60, SSD, 2 HDDs and couple of additional fans too.

I'm already on a tight budget buying the Toxic 280X, but I've read that it's the fastest of the lot, and I'm running a HD 5870 at the moment so it's time for an upgrade! (Mini question: Is it worth the upgrade?)

However shelling out £80 on a PSU + the GPU is pushing my wallet a bit.

That said, is it worth going down to the Sapphire Radeon R9 280X Dual-X in order to afford a better PSU, or is is better just to spend the additional money? (I only buy GPU's on a 2-4 year cycle)

Cheers guys!

Edit: Dual-X not Vapor-X

Thanks guys, I will get it and run it, and if I start getting power cuts or such I will put it down to the PSU and get a higher wattage corsair.

Thanks!
