I recently bought a new pc with a Corsair CX750M Power Supply. After a few weeks of perfect operation a buzzing/squealing/whining sound started from the PSU when the GPU was under load and required more Watts.

My questions are these:
1) Is it safe to run when this noise starts?
2) I contacted my retailer and he said that he can replace it or i could pay the difference and buy a new one. If i replace it i'm thinking of buying the Corsair RM750. Is it worth the difference? I will have to pay 35 Euros.

This is a video of a guy that has the exactly the same problem:

Solution
that's coil whine..it'll be louder, and your psu will dead.

so, it's not safe to use it, and you have to claim your warranty.

well, i'm not fan of cx series, low quality component make it less durable than other series.

rm750 is a good quality, nearly silent and gold certified powersupply, and yes, it's worth for 35 euros difference..
