Hi there,
Building a pc and am stuck in a gpu to choose. At the moment im looking at crossfiring 2 r9 280xs. Now before anyone jumps on me saying it is better to get a single and upgrade, I dont plan on upgrading, (famous last words I know) i did consider the 780 but compared to crossfire 280x setup i thought it was a no brainer? 2 importnat factos to consider, this build is to max out watch dogs at 1080 on a single monitor with all the eye candy at as close to 60fps as possible. I know its hard to say now its been delayed (cant beleive it) but if anyone can suggest a setupmthat could future proof till then for my current setup tht would be great. The other thing i need to mention is the case i plan in getting is the coolermaster storm enforcer and im concerned as to whether dual 280xs (or any xfire/sli setup for that matter) would recieve adequate cooling?
Thanks for any help you are able to privide

Wait some more days, and go with a Radeon R9-290X which is rumoured to be equivalent to the GTX Titan that too at your specified budget..........

Yes, the r9 290x is your gpu. it's in your price range and it's a single gpu. I say that because it's not certain Watch Dogs will be fully optimised (at least not from start) for CF.
In theory 280x CF is stronger than 290x, but you will have problems with games that are not CF compatible (bf4 beta had less fps with CF/SLI in some cases than the same single gpu), cooling and power consumption is as you know a problem.
All in all wait until the winter holidays, prices will go lower and watch dogs specifications will become more accurate (regarding CF compatibility). cheers

Thanks for the replys, I thought the 290x was supposed to have a $730 price tag, really can't go above $650?

If you can't go above that then the GTX 780 or the forthcoming r9 290 (without the x)
