can a 600w psu support an R9 280x?

I am using a rosewill 600w psu with an amd A6-6100 3.3ghz with a gtx 650 ti currently, but I want to upgrade to an r9 280x. Will my psu be able to handle it?

The R9 280x is nothing more than an updated 7970 which means its most likely more efficient, so yes that would be plenty for it.

Ok, thanks for the answer. But new question, would a better amd processor be sufficient to not bottleneck the card? I'd like to switch to an i5 or i7 but that would also require me to swap out my entire motherboard.

Yes the better the CPU the less the bottleneck. Question really is what CPU do you have since A6 6100 does not exist, so do you have an A6 or an FX6100?

Overclock it a little and it will do fine with the 280X! It is much better than an A6.
