I recently purchase a Toshiba - Q Series Pro 128GB Internal Serial ATA 3.0 Solid State Drive for my Sony Vaio VGN-NR260E laptop. I was trying to use the NTI Echo clone software to copy my existing HDD over to the new SSD but after 3 failed attempts it crashed everything and now it keeps looping back through the clone startup process but then just keeps restarting. Now I just want to install the SSD and reinstall Windows but I'm not exactly sure if I can. When I enter BIOS it shows that it is recognizing the SSD, or at least the storage space on it. If I let the laptop boot up normally I get the following error messages:
TRY (hd0,0): NTFS5: No echoldr
TRY (hd0,1): NTFS5: No echoldr
TRY (hd0,2): invalid or null
TRY (hd0,3): invalid or null
Error: cannot find GRLDR in all devices.
If I insert the windows boot disc or thumb drive and set the boot up for external drive with the USB flash at #1 or the disc will I be able to load it up or is there something else I can do?
