Okay this is a serious question

If you buy a used 3DS with a used sd card in it, will it be safe to connect the 3ds to your wifi? The point im getting at is if at all possible could a PC get infected with a virus/malware due to a 3ds connecting to its wifi network if the 3ds had some sort of program or whatever you want to call it for that to happen?

Could a 3DS have something that if connects to your PC wifi send data to the old owner about whats going on in my PC such as sites, what you type ect?

It may be just a coincidence, but as soon as I connected a used 3DS to my home wifi, I started noticing unexpected charges on my account. They were small charges, so it didn't raise any red flags until the I started getting calls from the government, asking about my voting preferences. I of course, followed my general rule of dealing with the police, and told them if they would like a discussion with me, I'll need to get a hold of my lawyer, and they said something about me being a weirdo and left me alone. But, it didn't feel right, so I connected my 3DS to my computer and started to scan through the contents. To my horror, I found that the device had hacked all the devices in my home, and was uploading all my information to a terrorist organization, that was making small purchases labeled under something called "E-Shop". Which I can only assume is a place to purchase explosives from. Somehow I feel that there's a connection between these activities, and recent UFO sighting in my area, and fear for the worst.

Very funny!

Back to the OP's question, it is safe to connect the used 3DS to your network. No worries.
