Connected my Galaxy Note 3 with the provided micro-usb cable that is USB 3.0 compatible (for faster transfer / charging speeds), however when I connect it to my PC (USB 3.0 slot) it always states that "Device can operate faster when connected to USB 3.0". There are no USB drivers available for Windows 8.1 for the Sabertooth Z87, and in addition, when I was on Windows 7 the issue was still there even with the proper drivers installed.

Any idea on what I should do? The USB 3.0 Connector is plugged in fully

Solution

are you using a usb 3.0 port on your mobo or through the case?

Erm, how do you turn on QuickCharge in the BIOS? I'm currently downloading AI Suite

EDIT: USB Charger+ and USB Boost do not detect the device. Windows does, however.

Oh my goodness, I am such an idiot. I needed to enable the USB 3.0 option on my mobile device. It's not my PC issue. I'm so sorry and thanks so much for your help

While the Note 3 is connected, go to the USB notification and select the USB 3 option. When I do that, it shows a message saying that USB 3 will also activate airplane mode and will time out after 5 minutes of not transferring anything. So I guess it's really processor intensive, but useful if you want to copy stuff in a hurry.
