Hi i encountered a dead cpu a couple of weeks back and had it exchanged for a new one at my local store over here in Singapore since it was only 2 weeks old. My computer was up and running once again. However, i had encountered the exact same situation once again today. No overclocking or whatsoever. I need some help guys. Thanks.

yes i got a 1 to 1 exchange at the same vendor.

oh gosh i just encountered a new problem a few minutes ago. My computer suddenly just turned on for a split second then shuts off now.

The problem that happened at first was my Hero motherboard showing the code '00' and after going through the forums i suspected my cpu was fried and i was correct 2 weeks ago and this indeed happened today again.

I am suspecting a psu or motherboard that is faulty?

Ur motherboard will turn off if it encounters a short from a psu. And it will mostly fry everything. It happened to my Psu after 6 years of use(blew a capacitor). Your psu is platnum certified so it's not ur psu. It's either ur mobo(CPU socket) or ur CPU. The way CPUs are made is that they are made in batches. They test the batch by running it at a certain frequency to see if they are stable then they under clock it 5-10% and give it the frequency that you have. I suspect it's a bad batch of CPUs since u got it from the same vendor. That's my opinion. See if someone else can give u advice here. I would inspect ur mobo for any blown capacitors meanwhile (slightly raised at the top) I highly doubt it since ur mobo would turn off if it notices a short. I would rma both the CPU and mobo if no other solutions come up. Best of luck.
