This is primarily for gaming (Battlefield 4).

Should I stick with my current processor and mobo or upgrade? If I were to upgrade, could I get a big boost for $500 or under?

Current system in signature.

What resolution and graphics settings do you want to run BF4 at?

As is I see no reason for serious upgrade. Your Sandybridge i5 will not be far behind in gaming performance from the latest i5 Haswell and you already have the best GPU on the market. 8Gb should be fine, but if you find that your PC is laggy while playing Battlefield 4 just drop $100 on another 8gb to put you at 16gb (assuming you have 2 free memory slots) and you will be golden. But I wouldn't consider upping your memory until after you try Battlefield 4 because it might not be necessary.

Additionally Battlefield 4 beta with the GTX 770 gets a minimum of 49 fps and an average of 59 on Ultra 1920x1080. This is pretty good and I think performance will only improve with...

Looking to play ultra at 1920x1080 at 60fps.

The second generation i5's are still pretty decent but are slowly showing there age. Gaming especially a game like BF4 tends to be more GPU centric, but you are already fairly high up there in that regard. But to strike a good balance i probably go with a fourth generation i5/i7.

If you really aren't satisfied with a 59 fps avg and 49 min, then you want a second GPU and SLI. But you will notice no difference between a minimum of 49 and 60... especially since the average is 59.

I just bought the hyper 212 evo, that should net me some decent overclock right?

Yes it will. I am using the older 212 plus on my 3570k.
