Hello everyone, I am experiencing a problem where my ASUS motherboard is loading a boot menu but isn't configuring right. I have two hard drives installed.. and Windows 7 on one hard drive, and Mint Linux on the other. When both are plugged in, the hard drives get really hot, I was wondering how can I get it to read one hard drive at a time rather than running both hard drives at once? I know Mint Linux comes with GRUB but it appears that ASUS boot loader overrides the GRUB booter, leaving it to read from just the Linux hard drive.. Please help!

What is the model of your mobo? Is it a UEFI Bios? Are they internal HDDs or external? It is normal for internal HDDs to get very hot you shouldn't be touching them while the computer is powered on and running ;)

On a newer Asus UEFI board you should be able to access a friendly interface for boot options from the BIOS setup. When you choose a drive the BIOS should then pass the torch to the bootloader installed on the respective drive! If you are still having trouble, try powering down and removing one drive from the system and see if it boots properly then.
