question for better resolution

Solution
1920x1080 is what we call "Full HD" and 2560x1600 is what we call "WQXGA".

It really depends on what you want to do, but in my opinion, going bigger is not a bad idea if you have the greens to do so. Just keep the quality of the Monitor in check so you don't get a terrible experience with colors and refresh rates.

So, at first glance, 2560x1600 is better.

Cheers!

I'm assuming you made a mistake in your question and meant 1920x1080 not 1800x1920 like you typed.

Higher resolution ALWAYS looks better.

That is assuming all else is equal. Do you like your 1080p (1920x1080 pixels) "HD" TV better than your old reglar 480i (640x480pixels) TV? Though so.

The details do matter a little bit tho, if you have a weak graphics card it will not be able to push out decent FPS at the higher resolution where as it could possibly handle lower resolution 1080p. Also some people argue they like faster refresh rates over a higher resolution but some 1440p screens can be overclocked to achieve those same refresh rates.

In short, with all else being equal, higher resolution always looks better. That's why they are coming out with 4K (3840x2160) and 8k (7680x4320) resolutions soon!
