I have an okay gaming computer that I got from cyberpowerpc, last year. I'd really like to upgrade and make it much better for whatever I want to do. I currently have an AMD FX-6100, 8GB of Dual channel DDR3 RAM, an NVIDIA GTX 650, a 1TB toshiba Hard drive, a 600 w power supply, and my motherboard is GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard. The motherboard has had some issues in the year I've had the computer. Aka the usb ports stopped working for no reason after I turned it on for the day a few months ago. But What I want to do, is keep what I can, and just add on to it over time. What would be the best to do to it for gaming? I'd like to get an NVIDIA GTX 780 in a month or so, would that work with the motherboard I have or should I get another one? I play with two monitors if that means anything haha. Thanks.

There's nothing you really need to upgrade on it, except the GPU.

that's a lower end video card, and certainly your bottle neck in gaming.

780 would work... depends on what resolution and FPS you're loking for in what game?

anythng like a 680, 760, 770, or 780 would be a big upgrade over a 650

I agree. The only thing that would to be replaced in this build is the gpu, like lowrider said, and it's pretty simple.
