Overclocking an Intel i5 4670k

Hello, i need to overclock my proccessor with my first gaming computer i built. Intel i5 4670k information can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/Intel-i5-4670K-Quad-Core-Desktop-Processor/dp/B00CO8TBOW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1382040491&sr=8-2&keywords=intel+i5+4670.

Its main GHZ is: 3.4 GHz
What i want it to be: 3.8 GHz

I also have a good radiator just incase anyone wants to know

So, if anyone knows how to overclock to 3.8 GHz (no higher!), then please share :).

Are you sure? I thought overclocking was more difficult then just changing 2 factors..

It will automatically adjust the voltages for you;so yes,that's pretty much it until you get to 4.5GHz+
You can go full-auto on most chips up to 4.4

Hate to waste your time here, but I instead decided to buy a MSI Z87 LGA 1150 (I cant determine whether i want the G45 or the GD65) motherboard, could you give another tutorial to overclock to 3.8?

The i5 4670 will turbo boost to 3.8 GHz automatically.

I'd highly recommend staying away from MSI..
If you do get one..gd65..
Just know that Biostar Hi-Fi-z87x is sturdier..may not have as detailed a BIOS..but sturdier just the same.

With the Msi Z87-GD65 and GD45 there is an OC genie option that automatically clocks the CPU at 4.00 GHz. enter the BiOS and press it, or just push the button on the bottom of the mb that says OC GENIE. my i5 4670k is at 4.2 GHz and my voltage is set at 1.33. im getting average temps at about 38C

Heeeey! Im not a master of overclocking. But with help of a friend. I got mine to 4.1Ghrz.
I only wanted to OC mine to 3.8Ghrz too but I thought to treat my self and go a little further.
I only have the Gigabyte Z87-HD3 and its working a charm.
I have it on 1.286V, 4090.24Mhrz, x41.0 (8-41) Multiplier.
I also have the Corsair Hydro Series H100.
Hope this helps! Again. I had help with this so I apologize if some of the info is wrong!
