Okay guys, now Im pretty sure if I had to I could figure this out, but it'd be very helpful if someone can just give me a quick play by play on how to put this 80mm led fan into my rig. Now I want it to sit on the back of my case to serve as an exhaust. This is the fan I have

and my rig

Now Im fairly positive I want it to sit so the open part of the fan is facing inside my case, correct? Now I know how to fasten it, and I got which direction its supposed to sit in down (I think, if someone can just touch on that), so I basically just needs instructions on where to plug it to. Im hoping by linking the two above will save me from having to answer any technical questions that you guys may ask that I may not possibly know. Sorry for the dumb question guys, slowly learning. Thanks.

Hello... because it is a 3 pin/wire fan, there is no speed control, but it will give tach/speed feedback. Plug it direct into your Power Supply using the molex connector or into your motherboard System Fan header, if it fits.
in the case bag of screws should be four fan screws if they gave the mto you or there a set in the fan bag. you screw the screws from the outside of the case in. before you mount the fan plug it in or look at it one side should be marked for the airflow. mounting a fan one way pulls air in the other out. on the fan itself it has split power wires. you can plug it into a four pin power supply molex. (large white four pin plug) the fan will run at 100 rpm always. the other is use the three or 4 pin fan header they gave you on the other cable and plug it into a fan header on the mb. the fan header will control the fan speed.

most mb have three of these case fan header look on your mb guild for them. be carefull not to think the audio cd rom header as a fan header.

installation successful. when i booted my computer back up it found a driver automatically and said it was hooked up via USB? Or something about USB. hmmmmm...Normal?

edit - think it was me plugging my speakers into the wrong audio jack by accident. think i put them into an HD audio jack. oops.

i ended up plugging it into the power supply. the fan has two plugs, the psu plug and the 3 pin connector, however i believe my motherboard by where it said sys fan had 4 pins? so that would make the fan and the mb not compatible with each other? by the way it seems like by hooking up this new fan, there are no more wires remaining for additional fans. that just cause my psu sucks and better ones have more plugs? at least i think i didnt see any others after having used that one....
