1GB vs 2GB GT 610

Hi,
I'm planning to upgrade from a HD 5450 to a GT 610. Which should i get the 1GB or 2GB?

He didn't mention he'll be gaming, but in any case, OP if you want a 610, get the 1gb. It probably won't give much of an upgrade anyway.

I will be gaming but only lightly like minecraft wow and maybe a bit of happy wheels here and there, my consoles are for hardcore stuff, so will i see any performance increase in the 2gb of ram? With my 5450 i ran out of graphics memory once with 1gb of ram.

I don't know your budget but look for a 6670, they are about $60 and are infinitely faster than a 610. Cards climb very rapidly in price to performance around the 6670 price range, below that you are paying only a little bit less but are getting a fraction of the performance. 1GB vs 2GB is no difference until the capacity is exceeded, but with light gaming it won't matter too much, and unless you are at 1080p or above theres no difference what so ever.

My budget is £30 im only 12 so... I dont want to spend as much as a 6670 as im building an i5 custom built next year when i start my exams as im taking media, this is just to fill in till then
