so I moved my recently built computer from apartment to my new house. when I went to plug it in I heard a spark and then when i tried to turn it on I it lit up and the fans spun for a split second. and then nothing. I took the case apart and the light on my mother board's power button was lit up but nothing. I swapped out the power supply and I still have the same problem. I plug it in and press the power button fans spin and lights go on for a split second and then nothing. tried taking out ram. and still same problem. My build is
*Gigabyte z87x-ud4h lga1150 Motherboard
*I7 4770k
*Gigabyte geforce gtx 660ti
*8gb crucial balistix ram
*cooler master extreme power plus 600w
other parts im not sure of but i can figure them out if needed
-a side note. After I try turning it on and the split second of lights and fans nothing happens from pressing the power button unless i press the switch from my power supply off then on. then i get the same thing.

any help would be greatly appreciated

A bare-end power cable could have come loose during the move and shorted something out on the motherboard. Did you see any evidence of burnt motherboard components when you swapped out the PSU?

If yes, new motherboard required.

Remove the front panel and check behind the power button too for loose or shorted connections.

Sounds like a short somewhere. Check behind the motherboard for a screw that may have come loose and worked it's way back there during the move. You can also try disconnecting things like the front panel USB ports (they are pretty fragile and easily damaged if you left something plugged into them during the move) and, well, pretty much anything else extraneous until you find the culprit. Also, check that the heatsink is still properly secured-an overheat would trigger the system's thermal protection pretty quickly, which can also cause the same symptoms as what you are describing.

Whenever my computer doesnt turn on, i turn the power switch off and repeatedly hold the power button, which drains power from the board, or i take out all psu to motherboard connections and then press the power button for 10 seconds and put them back in and try again. Dont know if that helps but thats what i would try as this has happened to me MANY TIMES!
