I am seriously scared of that my CPU will die or burn or sth else in the future, so i decided to ask it properly to you experts in this category.
First the specs : MOBO = Asus M5A97
CPU = FX8120 OC'ed to 4.01GHz (stable , tested with Prime95 4hours)
Power Supply = SuperFlower 550W

So , i had a buzzing in my PC since i got it for my birthday. First i thought it is normal but after using it 2 months , i thought is better to run the PC in Powersave mode all day.

I have Asus AI Suite to control my CPU and Fans and everytime when i turn it to "Performance" i get the buzzing noise. It is very weird because it is doing that sound EVEN when i move the mouse left and right and it is constantly buzzing when i'm playing a game. The only thing i changed was the clock speed and i left the Voltages all to AUTO. The highest Voltage i saw was 1.44 but it is changing between 1.44 and 1.30. If you guys really want to hear it , i can make a video and put it on to YouTube so you can hear it. The only thing thing which was not sent back to the factory was the CPU. Power Supply , MOBO ...all new. Thanks for answers. I am new here so i try to keep my eye on this thread every 5 min because i really want to know what the problem is.

The video would help greatly. Its quite possibly coil whine. If it is its usually not anything to worry about. My mobo and many others have it.

About that OC though, Its generally not a good idea to leave the voltage on auto. I don't know the acceptable voltage levels of that proc but in general auto just increases the voltage far higher than what you need to be.

If it is coil whine it might be coming from the VRMs in which case toning down the voltage might help that.

So on what rate would you suggest me to put the Voltages on ?
So is that "coil whine" something serious which can be cause problems in the future?
