I sli'ed two 780's. im using corsair link to watch my gpu temps and im thinking its the top one thats constantly 10 degrees hotter than my other one. any suggestions to keep it cooler? it gets up like to 75c when playing metro but the other one is about 65c.

Solution
The important thing to remember is that there's no issues unless the top card starts getting well up into the 80s. I wouldn't give it a second thought if your top card is maxing out around the 75C mark. 75C is not hot at all for these GPUs.

Those temps are perfectly fine and should not worry you at all, and the top card being ~10C hotter is normal and expected in SLI.

What I did to help keep my cards cool was that I used zip ties to put a 120mm fan on the back of my HDD cages, right in front of my two GPUs, so that it can feed them a constant supply of fresh air. Worked pretty well... I almost never see temps over 70C on either card, and the disparity between top and bottom is more like 5C

i do have fans running into my gpu. i have a NZXT switch 810 case. iuno. i'll try it once more this time aiming directly at the gpu instead having the fan aiming up for better exhaust.

also, should I switch my H80i to an exhaust instead of intake? I read on the instructions for best results do intake, but for some reason iuno if that really makes MUCH of a difference. More hot air is being dumped into my comp then with intake.

I always use front/bottom intake + top/rear exhaust. Corsair recommends intake on their H series products because it makes their performance look better by maybe a degree or two than if you use it as exhaust, but IMO it's a retarded recommendation... hot air rises and it's dumb in my opinion to have an intake near the top of your case.

I ignored their recommendation and put my H110 fans as exhaust.

Hey man, it's me again. Just letting you know I have the ACX cooler with my 780. I think the airflow is different. Air comes from outside and hot air comes out of the card and into my case. I have no side fan either, so im thinking thats the reason why its heating up badly.
