So I recently had problems from my amd fx 8350 CPU.
My computer started shutting down at random times while playing games, and I assumed it was something to do with my CPU or GPU.
Seeings as both parts are brand new, I checked my cpu temps first.
I was astonished to see that they were 79 degrees resting in bios.
I would log on anyways, check through core temp, and I was resting on 40 degrees until I tried to play a game or anything, at which point it would spike to 80.
I immediately shut down my PC, and ordered a new liquid cpu cooler.
So I got it in the mail today, thermal take water 3.0, and installed.
I booted up, only to see that the bios were still reading 77 degrees, and when on the desktop reading 82 degrees!
So I shut down and am now posting from my phone on here.
I am in desperate need for help, my wife will kill me if I have to spend any more money on this computer, lol.

^^^ This. Also, did you properly clean the old thermal paste off before you reapplied? What about proper airflow in the case and through the radiator of the cooler? I know that seems obvious but you'd be surprised how easy it is to make a mistake with this.

Well, turns out I'm an idiot.
Didn't even connect the actual cooler to power, lol.
Sorry for wasting your time.
Will update if it is still doing it, at that point though I would assume it's my psu.
