With the holiday season approaching I am considering asking for a Razer keyboard or mouse. Currently I have a pretty standard keyboard and a wireless "gaming" mouse (http://www.amazon.com/E-3lue-E-Blue-2-4GHz-Wireless-Optical/dp/B00CBLVVZE/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1382049196&sr=1-8&keywords=E-3lue+Cobra+wireless). The question is, which one should I pick. I have heard mechanical keyboards are great, but I don't know which Razer keyboard is best, or whether buying a mouse would be a better investment. Also either one could not be over $150. (I play mostly FPS and action games)

The blackwidow stealth (cherry MX brown, not sure) is a good choice too, but in my personal opinion I prefer Cherry MX blue because it feels better for me, visit this site to learn more about the different types: http://www.keyboardco.com/blog/index.php/2012/12/an-introduction-to-cherry-mx-mechanical-switches/

It would not be that difference. Your mouse is not bad. Deathadder is wired... or you can get the Mamba that is the same as deathadder but it is wireless and rechargeable but it is as expensive almost as the Ouroboros.

I just bought a Blackwidow ultimate 2013 and I can tell you I am very satisfied, switching a normal keyboard to a mechanical its simply amazing... but be aware, Cherry MX blue are very loudy. The same with my new Ouroboros... its great but I suggest to consider the keyboard in first place.

The mouse deathadder is pretty good too, and not as expensive as ouroboros.

I switched to the Blackwidow Ultimate as well, and love it. The keystrokes ARE loud, however the longevity of the keyboard, the feel of the keys, and overall quality of the keyboard are definitely worth the higher price tag.

I have not tried Razer mice yet - I'm still with my Logitech G-series (well over 6 years old), and until it dies don't see a reason to switch.

There are mixed reviews about Razer, however if the keyboard I purchased is any indication of the quality of their product, I'm a fan.

So as far as the keyboard goes, they have a Blackwidow Ultimate Stealth for 139.99 right now, that is supposedly quieter. Also would you say that the Deathadder would be a significant difference from the mouse I have now (listed above)?
