MSI GTX 760 HAWK problems overclocking?

I recently bought a gtx 760 hawk (and yesterday added a 2nd for SLI). Even when I had only 1 in my PC I was having trouble overclocking it at all. As soon as I bumped up the core a measley 25 core clock it would crash out of every benchmark I ran.. 3dmark/unigine. Same with any tampering of the memory clock.

I managed to game off much higher overclock (1211/6300) with a bit of stability.. I'm wondering why benchmarks crash it at such low clock speeds but remain perfectly fine when at stock clocks.

My rig is corsair tx850m psu, i7 2600k @ 4.2ghz, 2x 760 hawk, 8gb ddr3 1600mhz corsair veng, gigabyte z87x-d3h mobo

So the benches crash at low clocks but games don't crash at high? I don't think the cards are stable OC'ed if that is the case. You shouldn't need to OC anyway, SLI 760's should handle almost anything within reasonable and affordable settings.

Well yes, I know it's unstable.. that's why I'm asking if anyone knows solution or has similar problem. I know the SLI can destroy any game but the fact is I payed extra money for cards that are capable of over clocking more. Triple overvoltage, voltage monitoring.. these cards are meant to be pushed further than factory OC.

I'm wondering if maybe its the GPU boost causing the crashing? Anyway I can disable it and force 1300 mhz? (right now my cards are running 1111mhz @ 1215 ish boost stock settings)

same story here mate, got me self the 760 hawk thinking alright i should be able to OC this to nearly that of a 770 without having to pay for it. to my disappointment it seems to crash with even the smallest OC done, not sure how these reviewers are getting the results they get.

The most I can boost vcore is to 1.212v (thats using evga's tool since I seem to be unable to tinker with voltage using msi afterburner). I also tried flicking the bios to LS2 mode and then cranking the OC up, still no difference.

Anyway I am curious how you managed to turn GPU boost off as I want to give this a go?

Its pretty weird, my N760 2GD5/OC, which is a cheaper version of the hawk, manages to hit 1120 and +350 mhz memory clock (the highest I tested) and around 1225 mhz on boost for core clock, but my card is also not overclocking well, since everyone manages to get 1150 (aparently) with the same card I own, I thought it could be my 500w PSU but your psu is a lot better and you are getting the same problem, I guess we are either doing something wrong or MSI cards arent that good anymore :S
