Ssd question please help.

Hey all, I got a ssd about 2 days ago, and found out today it's best to activate ahci for them, I didn't realise this and continuned with my windows install, now I'm not sure what to do, as I think it may speed up the ssd?

Is there anyway to change it after windows is installed and if so , how.

Microsoft has made this a very easy fix.

Visit this page and scroll down and click the FIX IT button

Reboot into the bios and change the sata mode to AHCI
Saving and exiting will reboot the pc which should boot up into windows just fine.
