New build. I can't figure out why the computer is starting, yet I have a blank screen.

Hey everyone. My father recently purchased the barebones kit seen here:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8529726&CatId=332

I put it together for him today, keep in mind I have built 4 computers before this and have never had a problem, and this was a barebones kit so I thought it would be even easier! My problem is that I put everything together and when I plugged it in, the computer started up but I had no picture on the screen. I went through everything I could think of, took the battery out of the motherboard and replaced it some time later, nothing. I took the graphics card out and just went with the on board graphics, nothing. Reseated the CPU, nothing. Pulled out the RAM, no beeping or anything before OR after I did that. I'm stumped. It doesn't seem to be the power supply because all the fans and everything work. One thing I noticed is that even though the motherboard has a 4-pin 12V CPU connector, the power supply does not have a 4-pin connector, I assume this isn't an issue because the comments on TigerDirect don't mention anyone having that problem. HELP!

The power supply probably has a 4x4 cpu power connector. It looks a lot like an eight pin PCIe connector except for being two 2x2. Just put one of the 2x2 pieces of it in the 4 pin cpu slot.
