Hello, I wanted to know, which do you think would win? I want to upgrade to a GTX 760 SLI (already have one) but I need a new case and a new mobo which in total cost 180 dollars, with the GPU 440 dollars. Or should I just wait like a year or two for the R9-290x. I heard that GTX 760 SLI beats GTX 780 and TITAN. So which one. Also, how much should the R9-290x decrease in a year or two since I heard it should be around 600-750 dollars. thanks in advance!

Solution
the 760 is going to have to drop its price as you can get a 7950 for well under $200... and the r9-280 is going to be $200 or under. i would wait for the price drops. 18 months from now you can fully expect all the prices you see now to be about half what they are.

So should I wait or should I upgrade like this christmas? Also, I was asking about the R9-290x, do you think it will decrease next year (its rumored 750 dollars)

the 780/290x will likely settle to around $550-600 by Q2 of 2014. nobody really knows... but after years of watching cards release and drop in price... the law of technology... im just making an educated guess. the government might threaten to outlaw video games and then the prices for videocards could skyrocket.... lol... but not likely.

you should aim for the week of thanksgiving/black friday for your case and mobo as there will be great deals coming on and off all that week.
