I recently upgraded to the vishera and have it paired with the evo with a single stock fan pushing. I heard the vishera is loud but wow. Under a full load i'm running 57c with 1776 rpm so it pushes the little fan. Would adding a second fan in a push pull configuration have a decent effect on temp and noise? What fans should i get that would give me the best results as far as cooling/noise balanced?

They would help on temps slightly, a few degrees, they might increase noise however. Honestly the Plus isnt that great of an increase over stock. I would get at minimum the 212 EVO instead. Rather than 2 80mm fans on an 80mm rad, 2 120mm fans on a 120mm rad run much cooler and quieter.

Ah in that case, adding a second fan, the stock ones are great, will help with temps. Under gaming I hit 57c with my evo on a 965 @ 4.1GHz. So the temps arent bad, but the fans should help. Trying a better/new thermal paste will also help. Try re applying the paste too.

So 57 is common for a 4ghz cpu. I came up from a stock 965. Used arctic silver 5. I wasnt expecting it to be any better than anything else out there but i forgot to order stuff and radio shack had it. Seems that at 57 my mobo wants to run the CPU fan at 70-80 percent. Would adding another stock fan do anything for the noise?

I've heard a lot of people talking about the cougar vortex. Are those good? It seems by the newegg page that they have better airflow (Better cooling?) and run quiter (17 compared to 34) However idk what those numbers mean, bering possibly that the 34 could be max for the Hyper fans and 17 could be avg for cougar fans.

I've looked through a good few and Cougar seems to win in noise with their 17.x adn their airflow seems pretty awesome. at 15 a pop i think i'll grab two for a push pull. Now i don't know where i put my second fan adapter clip. Will they install on the 212 the standard way?
