500w enough for 7790 crossfire?

Solution
Hmm, well if what I read is correct, each 7790 card needs 75W and 21A on the +12v rail, for a total of 150w and 42A. Your PSU only has 36A on the +12v rail though.

From that I would say that you should get a beefier psu.

I used the PSU calculator thing at some website and It says I need About 460w of power supply. Am I good to go?

Thanks man. Gonna get a Stronger single card instead.

21 amp x 12 volt = 250watts.

I'm using a 230 W PSU with an i3-3220, an HDD and a 7790; it works fine. So As long as it's a good 500 W PSU (not the cheap one) I think you should be fine. You can search many benchmarks that such setup only max out at less than 230 W.

When I used AMD-5800K in my 230 W setup it would restart if I push the 7790 too hard.
