Why does my AMD FX-6300 run so cool?

I have the Cooler Master GeminII S524 cooler, and get idle temps around 10 degrees. I have overclocked to 4.5GHz (would go higher, but I can't seem to get it stable past there) and haven't broken 45 degrees at full load. With a full 1GHz overclock, I haven't broken 45 degrees. I'm not all that experienced with computers, but even I know that that is incredibly low, and I can't seem to figure out why. Anyone have any ideas?

In coretemp just after startup you are getting 10° then you need to set offset to +11 and it would read 21° and confirm with BIOS and be calibrated to those readings.

I get these temps with every monitor program I've used: Core Temp, Open Hardware Monitor, and AMD Overdrive. Would all of them give an incorrect temperature? And if so, how would I be able to find out what the offset would need to be for correct readings?

What application are you using to monitor temperatures? This could be an application error or even a faulty sensor.

EDIT: Our posts crossed. What make/model of motherboard are you using? You may want to use the app provided by the vendor (if one is available) to check your temps.

I have a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 motherboard, but can't find any program by Gigabyte for monitoring my temperatures.

BIOS shows temps at 20/21 degrees. Now I'm going to assume that that's the actual temp?

Indeed it does. Provided I'm reading it right, it's giving me temps ranging from 6-15 degrees, same as everything else.

Except the BIOS! That must mean something.
