Hey guys, I had a question. I have my DRAM Freq set to 1600MHz
but CPUID is saying they're only at 800MHz

Why's that?
I even cranked up the DRAM V from 1.5v to 1.6v

My CPU is OC to 4.5GHz from 3.3GHz (i5-2500k). Stable at 1.295 Voltage.

Using corsair vengeance cmz8gx3m1a1600c10 (8gbx4)

Solution
Everything is fine. The issue here is that CPU-Z is reporting the base (actual) clock frequency while nearly everywhere else (including BIOS) reports DRAM frequency as the effective frequency. For DDR (double data rate) RAM: base clock frequency x 2 = effective frequency (which is what you see reported most of the time).

So DDR3-1600 RAM will be reported in CPU-Z as 800 MHz.

Also you should set your voltages back to 1.5V since there's no point in overvolting.
