To get a smooth 60fps on low at 720p (assuming) you'd want at least a 7790 or gtx 650 ti boost but you're never going to get 120fps, that'll be limited by your CPU at that high fps most likely

Assume no CPU bottleneck. And also 1080p not 720p.

Ok well then probably at least a gtx 770 or r9-280x even that might not do it, getting to 120fps is very difficult as the higher you go the harder it is to get more fps, it seems somewhat exponential as far as I know so to so to guarantee 120 fps maybe a titan? or the r9-290X when that comes out?

I get 120fps with my one 7950 (not overclocked) at low settings, and can add a few medium settings on as well, to still maintain a decent 120fps... anybody that tells you otherwise, has not really tested it.

none, as there is no cpu that can maintain 120fps with any video card. Maybe when mantle is released for bf4 you can ask us again.

I run an i5 3570k overclocked to 4.4ghz, and i can maintain 120fps.... where do people come up with these answers, when they have no knowledge of what they are answering... I don't think I can get my answers from this site anymore...

on a multiplayer 64 player map no cpu can maintain 120fps. please, if you believe your rig can do this, post a youtube video of it with fraps measurements on a 64 player map. Maybe you should go to another site where people post the answers you want to hear.

Sorry, dumb question and off-topic.But is mantle the name for the next Intel CPU's ?

Mantle is a low level API for AMD Graphics cards allowing for better performance thus better gfx or higher fps. And there's no such thing as a dumb question :)

^^^^ this... I just have a stock i7-4770k at the 3.4ghz with a gtx 760 90% of the time I am at 120fps. If I OC my 760 I can maintain 120 much easier. Was pretty much the same for my i5-3350P (also stock at 3.2ghz). I run everything low except mesh quality is on ultra and one other thing but I forgot its name.

I get constant 60 to 85 fps with max settings which is on custom settings except I left screen resolution on 100%.I got a Gigabyte GTX 770 and a i5 3570K that is not overclocked, every game I played was smooth.I don't know why people struggle to play bf4 but its not so intensive.Theres no way u could get 120 fps constant in bf4. For testing purposes, I put it on low settings averaging between 100 to 110 fps,you got to have a balanced system to play well.
