I'm looking for a gaming pc from a professional company, or if you don't want to search to help, just give some parts that would come in around or under $2000. I would also like 2 monitors, a windows 7 OS, and peripherals included in the $2000 But you don't have to find the external things. So I guess I'm asking for a $1600-1700 computer, also please reccomend or tell me which peripherals you guys have. Thanks for your help :)

Or you can go for this one, the only difference is the graphics card.

The 280x performs just like 20-30 percent less than the 780, but the price is less than half. So you might want to consider that.

But in all honesty, I would recommend to wait for the upcoming 290x and the 780 Ti from Nvidia. Their launch would be quite sometime soon.

CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1230 V2 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor ($275.00 @ PCCaseGear)
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($129.00 @ PCCaseGear)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($99.00 @ CPL Online)

That looks suspiciously similar to a build I made in another thread... :p
Its fine.

Though I think you will have trouble finding a prebuilt computer company that offers those parts. Though of course, you could always buy them and get your local shop/IT oriented friend to put it all together.

Actually I recently found out that my dad's friend is good with building computers. Apparently he built himself a 3960x with a 680 and watercooled both. So this build should be a breese for him. But thanks for your help, and actually I haven't seen your build that was apparently like this.

Well.. for AU 2000 dollars, this makes up the best gaming rig complete with Monitors and Operating System and the best GPU right now, the 780.

+ 4 Core, 8 thread CPU for good performance even the future games. This CPU is as powerful as the i7 3770.
+ Nvidia 780, the best GPU currently on the market. Though it would be better to wait for the 290x
+ 8 gigs RAM, a decent board and a 650W PSU, etc..

Anyways it is your choice to go for what you feel suits you more. The 280x performs just as good as the Nvidia 770, but the 780 still remains the best GPU for gaming just quite a lot overpriced. But the 290x might change that.

Thoughts on buying two 280x's and running them together?

Well.. you can also go that route, but the problem is that AMD crossfire issues are not resolved yet for :

1. DX9 games.
2. Resolution more than 1080p
3. Multi Monitor Set ups.

So since you are using Multi Monitor, hence the crossfire that is putting two AMD GPU's would not be the best option right now. Wait for the drivers to stabilize a bit and then get the other graphics card.

If you want to go dual GPU on AMD right now, then you would have to deal with MicroStuttering and Inconsistency in frame rates, which is not a good thing.

Hence my recommendation would be to stick to the single 280x or wait for the 290x launch and go for that one since you have ample budget remaining even after including everything.

He ment windows 8, yuck. And I will, I've just been busy :p

Windows 7 or Windows 8 is more matter of personal choice.

I prefer neither of them.. Don't get me wrong, they might be the one to go for most of the people, but I use Linux, just because from the moment I used it, I am in love with Linux. It is fast, safe and a lot powerful especially for someone like me who knows programming and can write scripts.

And also gaming is now getting better on Linux, ask a Linux gamer like me...

Even if you don't know any scripting stuff and all, it still is a very powerful OS which is also almost secure and at last is free.

Windows might be the choice to go for people who use it, but a word of advice from my side. At least try Linux once in your life and try to explore it. It is free after all.

If you want to try linux, then try Linux Mint. It is the best beginner friendly OS. People coming from Windows might like Zorin OS, it looks and behaves more like Windows.

Anyways what OS you want to choose it upto you.

Out of Windows 7 and Windows 8 I would choose the latter and put the start menu app on it and forget about the Metro.
