Problem with Network Controller.

I installed windows 7 ultimate on my Acer Aspire E1-531 but the network controller in device manager has an exclamation mark and has disabled the wireless switch. How do i get it to work again?

Thanks rolli59 but i have all those updated drivers from the acer website but non of them works.

Is the controller enabled in setup? What options do you get if you right click the exclamation mark?

The options are the normal ones i.e update driver software, uninstall, disable, scan for hardware changes & properties so yes is enabled but when i click on update or scan for hardware changes it takes a very long time searching then it will say nothing has been found.

Those are in deed strange problems since you have the right drivers. Have you tried installing them in safe mode?

You will have to force it to start into safe mode usually done by pressing F8 for selection screen during startup.
