Hi, since I'm not too familiar with overclocking although I've done alot of reading on it,
yet I'd like to know the OC limit specific to the hardware. I'm gonna go with i7 4770K and air cooling via Cooler Master Hyper 212+. The case I'll be using is Corsair Obsidian 750D with stock fans which would be: Front fans - 2 x 140mm and 1 x 140mm rear fan. All are Corsair AF140L (custom made for the case?!) So if anyone has experience with that setup or just knows alot of stuff then your help is much appreciated.

Hi,

There are too many variables to know exactly what clock speed you'll be able to achieve (The CPU's ability, what motherboard you have, ambient temp, power supply ETC...).
I would expect that you'd be able to achieve an overclock between 4 - 4.4Ghz, that's based on what I've seen other people achieve with silimar cooling.

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z87P-D3
PSU: Corsair VS 650W

If that's any help right now, though what I've heard then 4.4Ghz is the sweet spot for gaming rigs, not sure if that's correct.

Ok, you should be able to get a good overclock with your components, but alot hinges on the CPU and whether or not it's a good overclocker.
