Hey, guys! I recently bought a Q9300 Intel processor and have tried to install it on a GA-G41MT-S2PT motherboard. However, when I try to turn the PC on, the system doesn't pass the memory test and just restarts. Help, please D:

Hi,

If you had a different CPU previously installed in that motherboard then you may need to reset the CMOS battery.

Or perhaps you'll need to update the BIOS so that the motherboard supports your new CPU if it doesn't natively support it.

I agree that or the wrong bios setting are still in place or incorrect memory settings

or even the motherboard doesnt support that cpu in worst case

Welp; There's only 1 BIOS for it and it supports your CPU,so it's not that.
Here's what you have to do:
Put old CPU in,downclock it,and undervolt it.Save the profile..(if you can)
The VRM setup on that board can't really handle a quad at stock.
Point a fan onto the VRMS directly
Once you get it to boot with the new chip, play with the clocks some.
maybe stick a fingertip on the vrm while doing some kind of stress test and see if they're geting too hot or not.

I hope this helps
