Yesterday I got my new Samsung 840 evo 256gb. After updating everything with the latest drivers etc. my speeds still aren't what they' re supposed to be(I think).
It is plugged in into sataIII on my mb, and bios is set to ahci.

Can anybody help me figure this out, below are my benchmarks.

My specs:

AMD FX-8320 Black Edition
ASRock 970 Pro3 R2.0
Crucial Ballistix Tactical BLT2C4G3D1608ET3LX0CEU
MSI N760 TF 2GD5/OC
600W Power supply

running win7 x64

Thanks in advance!

Sorry I forgot to mention, I tried several things with the optimizations, tried the different profiles etc. And theyre currently applied, except for windows search, but that doesn't make a difference. Rapid mode is also enabled

I know, im surprised about the reads and writes aswell being that high.

I was just wondering what was causing these low IOPS speeds, and if it had any influence on gaming or other processes(startup etc)

Thanks for looking into this and I think im just gonna enjoy my SSD!

I suppose it is, it got delivered with my ASrock mobo, which only has 6 sata III ports.
So i guess that isnt the case:(

Any other possible solutions that might help?

Thanks again

Today i installed my ssd on a sata II system, guess what, almost identical random R/W iops numbers. However the sequential were alot lower (around 300, as advertised for sata II

I still dont get how its possible, and cant let it go why my newer system has the same speeds as a ssd plugged into a 6 year old.

Anybody?
