Help! "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration!

Hi, I have encountered a problem today. I am currently connected to the router via power line network adapter. Yesterday my internet was working fine but today when I turned my computer on it was not detecting the network. I have tried many things such as restarting router, unplugging and plugging in the power line adapters to different sockets, changing ip address, reinstalling the ethernet driver but still no fix. I am running windows 7. I also tried connecting the ethernet cable from power adapter to my laptop and I am getting same problem. So is it something to do with the power line adapters or the network?

  1. This may or may not fix your problem but make sure that neither powerline adapter is plugged into a power strip. Good luck!
  2. my guess is one of them may have died. whats the exact model of these?

Ok, I just went on their website after you mentioned about their model name, I downloaded the software that scans and checks the power line devices or the power line adapters. For some reason it was not picking up the other power line adapter, so I just paired them up and it worked. Did it just before I saw your post. Thank you.
