At that resolution you should be fine. Technically, the gpu will usually bottleneck first for games, but that resolution shouldn't give you that issue til you're on high/ultra settings. Even then you should be able to play at a comfortable frame rate.

thanks for the info. BTW, it's the same build i needed advice for but we had some last moment change of budget so will buy the FX 6300 instead of the FX 8350...

:) . we are encountering a problem here that for some weird reason gigabyte 970a- ud3 is not available and the asus 970a pro 2.0 is available.. so should we go with asus? does got 8+2 power phase?
