If you do not see a big improvement, you will be disappointed.
A GTX770 at least, preferably a GTX780.

I might suggest that one of the most satisfying upgrades would be to a SSD for the os and some games. 120gb at least, preferably 240gb. Keep the hard drive for overflow, storage, and backups.

You will get better level loads, but the real benefit will be in everyday operations.
