if you have a external monitor connect the laptop to it if the problem happens with the external monitor the gpu is faulty if everything is fine then the cable which the monitor is connected to the motherboard has been damaged. but it usual shouldn't display anything most likely the gpu is the problem.if that is the case take it to your dealer to have it replaced if under warranty.if it is not under warranty you can repair it.

No, faulty SSD's & HDD's do not cause crazy visuals like that.
If it appears only after you see "Windows is starting", it's more likely to be caused by a faulty graphics chip or it's driver.
Try re-installing or updating the graphics driver from the appropriate source.
if that doesn't fix it, suspect the graphics chip.

the warranty just ended last month, but i can RMA but will cost me about 30$ in my country. how do you suggest me repairing it by myself?

sorry that i did not clarify my self at the end RMA is the best choice.you can take it to a repair center so they can repair the gpu.there is no way you can repair it by yourself.

CHKDSK i think, i remember the hard part is going to safe mode

any tips on easy safemode access asus p8z77 m pro? i remember it's just luck on my side that time. i killed the power then put it on again then the safe mode option pops

OK - Thanks,

To enter Safe Mode, just hit F8 before Windows launches and it will bring up the start-up options.

they say its even harder to enter safe mode if your os is in an SSD, when i press F8 it shows boot option and then after picking the ssd and still pressing F8 i'm still missing it

You have to repeatedly tap the F8 key RAPIDLY while the BIOS splash screen is up. If you wait until the BIOS splash screen has gone, it's too late.
