I have a prebuilt Dell Computer and i recently bought a new graphics card HIS IceQ 7870 and i have everything connected propperly and all the drivers are installed properly however i do not get a signal when i plug my HDMI cord into the Card. i have tried to use the card on my friends computer and it works just fine on his. i thought it was the power supply but i bought a new one and still nothing. i will post my computer specs later this evening after i get home. thank you for your time on this matter!

when you plug your gpu back into your pc check that the onboard video is off. on some of the newer motherboard that have intel cpu they set the ipgpu as the main output in the bios. this causes the new gpu not to turn on. also with your dell make sure the mb bios is updated.

i have already checked the bios and everything. i forgot to mention when i put the old card back in it works fine as well so its nothing with the pce connectors. a few of my friends are good with computers but they are stumped... i was hoping somebody could figure it out. (sorry i dont know computers very well.) and i only have one of the pce slots. also if i plug the video cord into my motherboard i get a signal but only if the cards power is unplugged when i start it.

If it's working on your friend's PC then this is for sure that problem lies in motherboard not in GFX card. GFX card is just fine but your motherboard has problem. Try updating bios that may fix it or just open the case unplug every single cable from your motherboard and the plug them again. Also get a air blower and clean the dust. Hope this will help :)
