ATX 12V 2.0 vs ATX 12V v2.3

Hi,

My motherboard manual (ASUS PH755-M LX) recommends to use ATX 12V 2.0 compliant PSU. I see most of the PSUs available in market are ATX 12V ver 2.3.

Are all ATX 12V ver 2.3 work well with ATX 12V 2.0 motherboards ?

Please, if possible then write few examples of PSUs that I can buy for following configuration:

Motherboard: PH755-M LX
Processor: Intel i5 760 cpu
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon 4350
RAM: 2 sticks 4GB DDR3
Hard Disk: 160 GB SATA
DVD R/W: Samsung

Will 450W or 500W psu work ?

Corsair VS450 didn't work at all on my system. Green LED remained off and no boot possible.

Will Corsair VS550 work ? What do you think ?

The website from which I ordered VS450 refunded money back. Hence, I don't want to waste time again.
