So since yesterday my computer has been locking up and forcing me to hard reset the machine, which is followed by one long and two short beeps, then sometimes restarts itself and is fine or gets caught in an infinite restarting loop and doesnt even get to the POST.

This only happens when im playing games, the screen goes black and then wont respond until I restart the machine.

The only noticeable change since this started happening is a windows update that occured during the first crash of this kind.

System specs are below:

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 2500 Quad Core 3.3GHz 6MB cache LGA1155 + HD Graphics [-8]
FAN: Coolermaster Hyper TX3 with 3 x Direct Contact heat-pipes CPU Cooling Fan
HDD: 1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3 SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 16M Cache 7200RPM Hard Drive
MEMORY: 8GB (2x4GB) G-Skill Ripjaws
MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte GA-PH67-UD3 H67 DDR3 Intel LGA1155 ATX Mainboard
NETWORK: ONBOARD 10/100/1000 GIGABIT LAN PORT
OS: Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 7 Home Premium (64-bit Edition)
POWERSUPPLY: 700 Watts Power
SOUND: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO
VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB 16X PCIe Video Card

Many thanks for any help you may be willing to give :)

Thanks for the quick reply, I unfortunately dont have much in the way of spare components to test with is their any software around that may assist with that?

I did take a look at the gigabyte beep list and it tells me that one long with two short is a video error but thats is really a very broad definition, is their anyway short of swapping parts out to help confirm this? Again it only happens when gaming and not when browsing the net or anything else (yet).

Im not much of a tech savvy person im afraid so apologies, I just enjoy gaming ^^.
