I kind of gave up but doesnt hurt to ask , when i switch my tv to the HD port my CPU is in i dont quite get full screen. I adjusted the settings resolution, so instead of getting the full 40 inches i would say im getting about 36 inches? because its about a inch off from the top and bottom and 2 from the sides like theres a black border. Is this a common problem or is there something i can do to fix it ? I went into the GPU menu and maxed the resolutions and stuff. Thanks.

monitor scalling on the tv or the gpu ?

It could even be both.

My TV allows me to adjust the input and for the PC, I have to set it to "just scan". You will also notice in your GPU's control panel, there are scaling options and when connected via HDMI, it is usually not 0% (or 100% not sure) by default.

i have a sony bravia and im working with AMD catalist control center . HAvnt found any results yet.

I don't have CCC currently installed to help, but there should be some settings under display or monitor that allow for scaling. Make sure it is not scaling. I also do not have your TV to know the settings. You'll just have to check for some input signal choices.

Im not having any luck in Control Center and my TV doesnt have anything thats close to scalling. Im going to try and find if someone made a vid on youtube or something.
