Hi im looking for a gaming computer that has windows 8. 1028 x 960 or more display and I have a 3,000 budget. I would like to buy it prebuilt but I do not want to be ripped off. Also, I really want the best i can get. I like playing Skyrim, Call of duty, gta and pretty much everything else. Furthermore, I am really concerned with being able to play hardcore games with amazing graphics and being able to mod them
Thanks for the help,
Alec

at $3K you can build quite the beast. Id wait until the AMD R9 290X gets released however. A single 280X will do you great for 1080p but for 3k I have a feeling you plan to go 1440p or higher.

budget of $3,000? What currency? Country? OS?
All of the prebuilt systems are usually unbalanced and way over-priced.
Building your own is really not that hard. I had never even opened a PC case before let alone build one. I watched a couple videos, read quite a few threads, on my first go at building it I assembled everything correctly, only problem was a faulty HDD, which was replaced.
Assembly is pretty straight forward. All connectors have their own style/layout so nothing can get plugged in wrong. You also still get to keep all the awesome manufacturers warranties which sometimes can be more than what the prebuilts offer.

Microcenter is an electronics store, but carry alot of items your normal electronics places don't.
The reason I ask is because MC has the cheapest deals on CPUs plus even more savings if you bundle a compatible motherboard.
So do you plan to build this yourself? You wont regret it, also I want to suggest a more simple build that would be more suitable of someone with your amount of experience.

Thank you so much!!! Does the case i get make a big difference? And do you have any suggestions for a monitor? I like the touch screen ones but the video and picture quality is more important to me

wow 3000 thats heaps man you could build an amazzzingg pc for that, In fact I will design it according to your wishes and instruct you on how to build it if you wish?

edit: just remembered you can pay $100 and they will build it, optimise it and then send it to you, so I can design it then you just buy it and pay for that, easy :)

sorry col, forgot
and smartelec actually just go here: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1411_1553&vk_sort=4 and anything above and including PCCG Pitbull GTX 780 Gaming System will more than suit your needs and its easier than building one, these are all amazing pc's and they don't rip you off like alienware, you are paying only about 100-200 more than its worth for them to assemble it which is fair as they have water cooling.
