So one i boot my pc and windows freezes up after a few minutes of use. The programs i use are Firefox and steam. After it freezes i have no control over the pc and cannot do any functions. I have macafee anti virus installed. I booted up in safe mode plus networking i have no issues. Edit: When i try to run a virus scan in safemode its telling me that it cant perform the scan. Anti virus cant turn its self on.
Edit: After a few minute seems like cmd dosent want to boot up. Longer login/boot time then usual
I am using McAfee which dosent want to scan either dosent scan or stuck at 0 percent. Used malwarebytes nothing found.
I just ran non safemode with no other programs still the computer hangs up. Is this a hardware issue?

Solution
Hard freezes typically mean you have a really low level HW problem. These are near impossible to track down.

My normal advice is to make sure RAM settings are correct in the BIOS, relaxing RAM timings slightly, and slight voltage bumps for stability. Failing that, pull half your sticks of RAM and see if that eliminates the issue.

Windows 7 Professional 64 bit:
This fix works. Let me know if it works for you.
1. entered BIOS on boot up and instructed it to boot from a USB drive and not the HHD - I made that misdirection in two places.
2. when the computer boots it now says "no operating system found - press CTRL-ALT-DEL"
3. the next thing to do is manually direct the boot up to the hard drive. Your machine may require "Press F9" or "Press F12".
4. I direct boot up to the proper HHD and I have not had a freeze since.

Plz try the misdirect on a pc that freezes and let me know if it fixes the problem. My machine froze every time within five minutes, and it has not done that since I misdirected the BIOS.
