Need a GPU for First Rig

Hello,

I'm building my first gaming rig and I'm having trouble picking a GPU. My goal is to have the PC run BF4 and Crisis 3 on medium to high resolution. My goal for the total cost of the system is under 600 dollars.

System so Far:

Processer: AMD X4 750K - $80 Amazon
Motherboard: MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 - $55 Amazon
RAM: Mushkin Blackline 8GB 1600 MHz - $80 Newegg
Case: NZXT Source 210 ELITE Midtower Case - $40 to $50 Amazon
Hard Drive: WD Blue 1 TB Desktop Hard Drive - $65 Amazon
Power Supply: XFX ATX 550 - $65 Amazon

Total so Far: $390

Thanks for the Help!

More about gpu rig
  1. I'd go with this (comes with 4 free games) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150671

Also, I'd consider updating your cpu chioce as a good gpu will bottleneck the 760k (go with at least an fx-6300)
  2. Here's a great build for under $600 if you can't afford putting in 7950 (will play crysis 3 med-high and bf4 med-high) -

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

    CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($119.99 @ Newegg)
    Motherboard: MSI 970A-G43 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($72.91 @ Newegg)
    Memory: G.Skill Sniper 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($73.99 @ NCIX US)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($59.99 @ Microcenter)
Video Card: MSI Radeon HD 7850 2GB Video Card ($149.99 @ Amazon)
Case: NZXT Source 210 Elite (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($42.83 @ Amazon)
    Power Supply: XFX 550W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($59.99 @ NCIX US)
    Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer ($14.99 @ Newegg)
    Total: $574.68

Yes, you could do that but I personally hate rebates. Plus that card is going to run allot hotter than the msi twin frozr 7850 I put in the build.
  4. True that, love the choice of G.Skill ram by the way :)
  5. If I upgrade to the 6 core could I go with the Sapphire Radeon HD 7870?

I'd Highly recommend adding another 50$ and getting a 7950 [with 4 free games] The performance difference is way more than the price difference. Also you can sell the games to get back the 50$ easily.
