ASRock BIOS update

I am not entirely sure how to go about this, but having a computer issue with memory that causes random freezes drove me to RMA my memory. I got it back earlier this week but it hasn't resolved the issue; naturally I've concluded 'tis the motherboard.

Before completely dissecting my machine, though, I shot a message to ASRock and they recommended I update the BIOS. I checked and yep, there have been quite a few updates to it in the time since I started having issues.

Now is where you lot come in. I'm not entirely sure how to do that. I've created a bootable flash drive with which to update, but I cannot seem to find the .rom file I need. For that matter I suppose I could update the BIOS from within Windows on the machine itself, but I'm worried it will conk out in the middle of that and force me to hard reset, potentially killing the board from what I've read.

I require assistance!

ASRock has 3 versions of their UEFI BIOS available online. One of them is the executable (easy) version that you copy to your C: root drive and double-click on and it will do all the work for you. That's how I got my ASRock Z87M OC Formula to UEFI v 1.50.

I am using the H77 Pro4/MVP model.

And yes, I know one of them is an exe file, but I'm worried that if I do that the computer will freeze up midway through the update and completely bork the motherboard, hence why I'm trying to flash it from a USB.
