Hello there,

Finally after putting up with my old computer for several years can I make an upgrade. As usual, I want to be able to play games in high detail and hopefully be future proof-ish for a couple of years.

Mainly I want to play skyrim on max graphics with some extra graphic mods (skyrim 2k for example). Other high setting I want to play games are shogun 2, chivalry, mount and blade.

Im looking at:
Case:CORSAIR VENGEANCE™ C70 MID-TOWER GAMING CASE
PSU: CORSAIR Modular TX850M — 80 PLUS® Bronze Certified 850 Watt
Motherboard: ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO
CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-4670K Processor (6M Cache, 3.40 GHz)
RAM: Kingston 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz HyperX Blu (2x 4GB)
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 (2GB) SLI
SSD: Kingston HyperX 3K SSD 120GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Drive (SH103S3/120G)
HDD: 3TB 3.5" SATA-III 6GB/s (Unsure on make)
Optical drive: 24x DUAL LAYER DVD WRITER (Blu-ray? maybe)

What I would like to know is:
Is the build overkill?
Is it even compatible?
Could I get similar results from something cheaper?
Where would be the best place to order parts for the UK?

Thanks in advance

Hi. I thoink you will be future proof for a while with that. As for the Hdd, either a Seagate Barracuda, or Western Digital Caviar Black will do, As for parts, amazon.co.uk seems to have good prices over there. OverClockers.uk also seem to be good. PC World Superstores have some good pricing from I've seen, but the selection at least on some items, leave alot to be desired.

Nice build, you'll love the Hero, not sure what 760(s) you are looking at, but might look to the Asus model, it's CU cooling is very good and especially in SLI ;)
